SEO and Blog Content
Is SEO going to help your blog posts gain ranking in the search engines? It couldn’t hurt.
I have tried many things on the Internet Marketing for Beginners website and found very little change in the search engines rankings. I will tell you I am way down on the pages somewhere. This has been a running experiment and my one hope is that you get some good out of it for your own use.
I don’t make any income from this site. It is all on me and is just another expense that I have. If it helps you any at all then I have done some good in the world. Now a little about SEO as I see it and video posting.
The big thing right now is video. I am no good at doing a video and a lot of others are in the same boat, I am sure.
I also want to read more than I want to sit in front of this computer and watch and endless stream of videos of guru after guru telling a bunch of gibberish.
I can stop reading and come back at a later time and take up where I left off. Not so with a video and all the pressure to view it. (Besides I can watch TV for entertainment.)
Like This:
1. Watch this video right now before its gone.
2. Get on over there now as I don’t know how much longer it will be up.
3. This will only be up for 24 hours then he is taking it down. (Still up 5 days later)
I am sure you get the picture and have received emails with that in them. Do you know why? They ask for your email as soon as you hit the page and BOOM! you are on another list.
But videos draw a crowd and Google likes them, especially if they are from YouTube. That is dollars to them and they will push the traffic to your blog to some extent.
I think a good post 1 time a week or maybe 2 times will get you traffic from the search engines. They spider sites on a schedule and if you start posting then they will see this and send traffic to you.
It may take a month or two to get things going but end the end it will help. If you have a subscriber list then you can have a mailing every so often. All from some SEO tactics.
The more and better posts you make to your blog with some SEO sprinkled in to the post will help get you better rankings.
Have a few keywords in the post as it pertains to the post title.
Make the post about 500 words or so and try to stay on subject.
Be very careful with adsense on your site as this is a good way to lose visitors and have a high bounce rate.
eg. If your site is cluttered with adsense ads, many will just click the back button. I know I do.
If you do use adsense in your posts on your blog then, put the ads at the bottom of your post.
This way the reader is more likely to stay and read.
Post your comments on this article. Does it make any sense to you.
